Hello lovelies!
I posted about my Shabby Rose Garden project and I had several people ask me
what kind of "magical" rose food I use.
I bought my rose bush at Lowe's last year,
it is a climbing rose.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKIor8wOatV8_VMRSzcCE_tHhcxy9piNNRhwDieWbDFKJ3xIWLYR3EyYL0BkUjaDHuPJ5XJFXUonPjrVtijrsxfyO0PonpifkY9PKwPDLuvrvBpWZ1SYuBGMYdkhvEyeeens0EbvifBxad/s400/shabby+rose+garden+1.jpg)
I planted it on the south side of my house where there is alot of sunshine.
The rose bush was $30 (a splurge for me) along with it I purchased
Bayer Advanced Rose and Flower Care ($15) at Lowe's.
Bayer Rose care nourishes and protects against spider mites.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4OzmLgAjLqLXqvXsAvAWuJugvMQedcNSGO6WwzJiZ2lpLoMOZe25YEeMFIz3FGZnhBa6AOyK071jaLs4CjKgcLq3Qsio3HH3H_CoPLVMVX5RTC-tkfDbuqVpiZkbrQEazHRa1u7NCJtH6/s400/rose+care.jpg)
The first year I cut the rose back so it would stay healthy.
After it gets done blooming I plan to cut it back again.
I am only a gardening beginner, so I was
surprised by how this rose has flourished.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6_NdSsDXkoLG_PSddDRLp_awv8h_c111W13Lfthvu6uQW5QgHsO3S28Jtqjitc4B2a2RuTRW6damCkZStAHDx5m8sSPWI1zmUZ4bgimfm-jSOl2grbIz5WpZQudhKTpNpoO4Fngsic5sA/s400/shabby+rose+garden+4.jpg)
As always thank you ever so much for stopping by!
Good luck with your gardening!
Big squishy hugs,
Olivia
