Shabby Chic Dresser Transformation!

This summer I picked up this old dresser (FREE).
It was missing two drawers but I knew if I painted it white I could figure out something...
It really fit perfectly in my dining room!
If you look very closely the bottom two drawers are still missing.
I plan to use a cute curtain valance to fluff up the bottom.
What would you do?

Right now I am loving this arrangement for the dining room!
It is small so it can be tricky find the right pieces!
I am partying with

  2. Hi Olivia: Hello ... did you say "free"??? Wow, what a great dresser! Yes, I think a flirty skirt would look fabulous dressing up the bottom of your dresser. Your display on top is just, oh so pretty!

  3. I wonder if you could find some baskets that fit those spaces and paint them white?

  6. Wonderfully creative! Have you considered moving the drawers you have down and using the top drawer space as an open shelf? I've seen this done with excellent results. Kudos to you!

  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLIVIA!!!
I love the dresser and I have seen baskets covered with a pretty fabric used instead of drawers.

    Have a great day!!

  9. Hi Olivia,
wha a lucky find!! and you did a great job with the makeover. like it white and the i see no problem with the two missing drawers as i think that you could use the space for displaying your china or other items you like to collect.
    have a fab weekend

  10. Free? Now that's a great price and you've refinished it very well. The drawers provide storage of one sort; I would put in some plywood and make shelves where the missing drawers went. I could then story/ display large serving pieces there.

  11. instead of "story" I meant store

  14. It looks beautiful and I think a ruffle along the bottom will be perfect - looking just like it was meant to be there. That is a perfect solution!
