Shabby Chic Bicycle

Hello Lovelies!
I simply adore cute old bicycles decorated up with plants and what nots!
Imagine my delight when my mom left this bike with me!
I could not resist adding a touch of pink up front with a pretty clay pot.
I have thought about painting it...but I kinda like it in the original condition.
It still rides well and my kids have a habit of hopping on it (display and all)
and toodling down the street on it!

This pretty in pink pot with plants that survived my
"green thumb" is enough to bring a smile to my face.
I am oh so ready for spring!
Gardening, planting, sweeping, fluffing and painting!
Oh the joys and hope of a new season!

  1. Olivia, I made hubby come see. He picked up a bicycle for me at the junk yard to paint for the garden. I love yours.
Now I have to paint it.

Have a lovely PS weekend ~

  7. Love that bike! I am with you--have been working in the gardens ever day--we have had nice weather for several days. But now they are saying rain and wind for a week. It sucks! I hope none of my blossoms get blown off! Well, that is Oregon for you.

  11. Hi Olvia,

Seriously!!! You are killing me with that bike. I am on a quest for one and hopefully will get my hands on one I can paint Hot Pink for my front yard. What better way to accent my hot pink front door than a hot pink bicycle? Now where I will find one will be interesting. I'll have to make sure I check out Goodwill. I might even try to get a little girl's bike which would fit better in front of my small house.

Thank you for inspiring me. HPS,

    Cathy

  15. Love, love, love your bike, Olivia
I have an old bike my hubby found for me and I was going to paint it, too, but just left it as is....I am going to add some baskets to it with flowers and then I will post it....it is 64 degrees today, so I think spring is just around the corner...the spring flowers think so too, as they are up about four inches.!

Hope you are feeling well, today!
