Hope in the beauty of Spring

There is an intrinsic beauty brought by Spring.
Hope spreads all around us as we watch flowers bloom,
birds sing and the earth become alive with song and color...
I cannot wait to sit outside and listen to all of the sounds of hope.
Flowers will bloom and the breeze will
usher in an excitement of renewal that can only
be felt this time of year! These are shots of my back porch from last year.
I cannot wait to make it all look this pretty again!
May your day be blessed and you begin to pick out the
hope that spring is about to bring!

Heirlooms

Hello lovelies!
My father is downsizing from our large family home to a cabin...
so, he has ALOT of stuff to get rid of.
I am trying to integrate several gorgeous furniture pieces into my home.
Now, they are very dark antique wood...
I soooooooo want to paint it all white.
However, with an heirloom piece of furniture,
I would like to keep them in their original condition?
The big glass thingeys are from Pottery Barn!
(My dad has good taste)
They are so nice and roomey for fruit and seasonal treats.

In other news the lamp tramp has struck again and
I am hoarding these darling Shabby Chic rose lampshades.
Aren't they cute...they almost don't need lamps.
~giggle~
Thank you for stopping by to visit with me.
A special thank you for the prayers and encouragement you all
have offered as I deal with my personal health issues.
I will be sharing this with

Pink Slippers

Hello lovelies!
I treated myself to a new pair of fuzzy boot slippers from
Wal-Mart ($9) a big splurge, I normally don't spend money on myself.
I have decided this is the best $9 I have spent all year!
Wow, they are super duper cute, comfy, warm and PINK!
They also had slippers style on sale for $4.
Dare I go back and splurge on another pair?
Ladies if you have not bought yourself slippers
I say treat yourself! It is worth it!
Have a beautiful and blessed day!

Pink Cleaning & Organizing

Hello my lovely friends!
I think this Shabby Chic pantry from Cynthia's
Cottage Shop (Minis) on Etsy is a cute inspiration!
I am on a spring cleaning and organizing kick!
I found these two pink totes at the Dollar Tree and
they work perfectly to organize my busy little families socks.
I don't mind laundry but the sock situation was driving me nuts!!!!!
Now, I have one side for singles and one for couples.
~giggles~
I also have a pink swiffer.
Love it!

Next, I am going to work on getting my pantry and kitchen cabinets clean and under control.
I went back to the dollar tree for more pink totes and
they were out of the pink color I liked....hmmmm.....

I have firmly decided that finding cute and colorful ways
to clean and organize can make life function easier
and lift our spirits for boring household chores!
The dollar store is a great place to find
inexpensive household must haves.
Do you have any favorite organizing tips?
Please let me know how you "whistle while you work"
Happy Pink Saturday my darling friends!

Shabby Spring Dreaming

Hello lovelies!
OH my, we got snow!
What fun with the family!
Now, I am ready for spring...ready for nice weather and
a chance to paint something white! This is a picture from my flea market booth!
I can't wait to go to a garage sale with lots of shabby cheap tea cups!
Mr. Romantic brought me the yummiest of chocolates and the most beautiful card a girl could ask for! He also surprised the kids with their own boxes of chocolates!
We are so blessed!
Thank you to my beautiful blogging friends for your words of encouragement!
It means more than you will ever know!
I am off to do some spring fluffing and dreaming!
Hugs,
xoxo

A Personal journey begins

Hello lovelies!
What a beautiful day it is going to be!
I believe in my heart we all have so many things to be thankful for.
A couple of months ago my health unexpectedly ushered me into
a "new normal".
Many of you have expressed the sweetest support and prayers sent my way!
Thank you!
In order to save the sanity of Mr. Romantic, my healthy readers and
my doctors I have decided to ramble about it here.
If you can relate to Chronic pain click here

Vintage Dress Form Party

Hello lovelies!
It's time to party with some vintage dress forms!
I love decorating my flea market booths with vintage dress forms.
In my large flea market booth I have a vintage lady and a vintage military man...
~Giggles~I sell the clothes and hats off the dress forms.
Sometimes after a busy weekend of shoppers
I find my lady stripped down to her skivvies...
my man always wears a hat so as not to see anything indecent.
~giggles~

Recently, I made over a couple of hanging dress forms
to display delicate linens on...
Click the link below to see a tutorial on how to fluff up a hanging dress form!
Vintage style dress form Tutorial
Below I used vintage music paper to make this form look more vintagey.
(Decorated hanging forms available $65 plus shipping each)

Of course I could not resist fluffing up a pretty in pink number.
So fun and fabulous to play around with pretty linens and dress forms!
Today I am partying with

My Romantic Wedding Day

Hello my lovelies!
This is me on my romantic wedding day.
My husband and I were in pretty shabby shape when we first started dating...
However, he made me laugh and I knew deep down he was the one.
Our story is not perfect.
God blessed the broken road that brought us together.
We have his and hers cute, adorable, high energy boys...Together we have our sweet angel princess!

Mr. Romantic is a wonderful kind, funny, cute and loving man.

He proposed by hiding a gorgeous pink ring in my dirty laundry pile.
We got married at my dads house...it was beautiful.

All of our family was there...
the boys adorable and rowdy.

I found my dress on Ebay, it was new from David's Bridal...
and I was blessed to win it for only $100!!!!
Plus it fit perfect! Whoo Hoo!

My sweet dad walked me down the aisle!
It was a beautiful day in October...

I can truly say my husband is my best friend.
We laugh together, cry together, raise our kids together, mess up, forgive, and just keep loving each other and our sweet family!
Our reception was outdoors and lasted into the evening.

Our faith, forgiveness, love and commitment have made us strong.
I am truly blessed in a million ways, I adore our sweet little family!
This is my favorite picture of us...
it says more than my words can express.

Thank you for letting me share my story...
I read and treasure every comment.
I will be sharing this with ...
