Victoria's Suitcase

Inspired by the new
Adele song "Someone like you",
I created Victoria's suitcase....
Upon finding out that the love of her life is set to marry
another woman, Victoria hastily grabs her suitcase and rushes
to the train station.

He holds the key to her heart...
In a rush to be off, Victoria ties her pearls and other goodies to the top
of her suitcase...
She quickly glances in the mirror, not sure that her face can change his mind...
smoothing her hair and grabbing her favorite gloves and hat, her heart beats wildly.
Her mind is racing with doubt...
What if he says no, what if he doesn't love her, what if he does not choose her.
The pain in her heart burns with these thoughts,
but she must at least tell him how she feels...
to be continued....

I will be joining these lovely ladies

Shabby Chic Dining Room Transformation

Hello my darling friends!
I have been lightening up my dining room!
I went from light blue to pink on my pretty corner cabinet!
I LOVE IT!
This is my old brass $5 Chandy I scored at a garage sale!
I painted the chandelier white add some crystals and vintage shades!
I would love to have some of those over the top fancy ones you see in magazines...
maybe a trip to Michael's will help me fluff them up!

I used mirrors on both walls to make my tiny dining room look a little bigger!

This is the pretty over the top cherub centerpiece I created this week!
I am in love with the soft pinks and whites, I listed it in my Etsy store
(secretly I hope I get to keep her for awhile!)
My goodness I cannot tell you how fuzzy the colors pink and white make me feel!
Just a little "happy" to get me through my day of
being a full time wife, mommy, and junk dealer!
Well, my darlings! Happy Pink Saturday!
May it be blessed with happiness and joy!

Shabby Chic Lamp Shade Satin Rosette

Hello Darling friends!
Happy Pink Saturday!
Think twice before you throw out that outdated, snagged or
ill fitting lingerie!

I picked up a plain pink and white gingham lamp shade at the "Pink Door".
I knew it needed some fluff soooooo, I dipped into my pretty Shabby lace collection!
I layered lace like a waterfall from the top of the lamp shade all the way down.

Next I created this beautiful silky rosette out of the trim of
an ill fitting nightie shirt, too pretty to throw away, I knew it would have a future use.
I cut a 1 inch piece from the hem of the shirt top all the way around, so I would not have frayed edges. I then carefully made a pretty rosette taking care to leave the hemmed edge on the outside.

I had enough to make a pretty rosette attached to a clippy for my hair!
Oh so pretty and breathtakingly shabby!

Happy Pink Saturday my lovely friends!

Shabby Chic Fall Mantel

Well, darlings this is just a small start...the poor gourd is the only thing "fally" about this mantel.
I must pull out the pink and white pumpkins...

Well, my darling Shabby loving friends...I have been
redoing my mantel for fall...which do you like?
The brown frame or the Shabby roses...or should I paint the brown frame?
(Update...the brown frame has been up for one day and at 11pm tonight I restrained myself from painting it pink or white...send me to "Shabby Rehab" cause this chic is addicted!)
Giggles!

I adore the pinks...maybe some sparkly pink pumpkins with this one!
How do you do "fall" shabby?I also adore painting thrift store pumpkins pink and white!
Well my darlings it was 95 degrees here so maybe it is too early to think of fall,
I can't help it! I love this time of year!!
