Fall Decorating Party!
All it took for me to whip out my fall decorating magic wand, was a rainy day and temperatures below the 90's!
I was so excited to begin my fall decorating I completely tore apart my dining room and redecorated with fall colors!
I gave my mother in law my corner cabinet so I hauled in this darling hoosier cabinet I had in the garage. I found some cornucopia baskets at the Pink Door today for cheap, I shabbied them and stuffed them full of white flowers with fall leaves delicately mixed in.
I wanted to blend whites with shabby fall colors, I am still on the hunt for some beautiful gold and orange roses!
Of course I could not resist adding a pretty garland to my chandy!
Now, I must find a fabulous fall tablecloth and napkins to create a beautiful table setting.
Ok, now I will show you my corny stuff that I do for the kids...
This is my little cutie pumpkin, he blinks on and off (also covers up ugly cords in the corner)
My son LOVES little light up houses (to be honest so do I). I found this little darling at a tag sale yesterday and I could not pass it up!
Please bear with me, I adore change, mainly because as a busy mom so much of my day is filled with routine. So yes, I change up my home and my blog least you will not get bored visiting me! Please let me know how you do Shabby Chic "Fall" at your home.
The seasons in my life are ever changing and my home tends to reflect this...

BTW, I love your header would you mind telling me where (what sight) or how you did it. I have used moasic make for mine but they don't have the look yours does and I love it.

Hope you have a great day!

  3. I'm stickin' with pink even through the fall season, chick! I just can't get into fall colors.

  5. Just hopped by from Treasures and Trinkets~ lovely fall decor...I am really in the mood to start that now, too!

  6. Wow, your really do change things completely over. I used to do that when I was younger, but now that I'm at the age of oldness I change not with color, just add a few things here and there, but wait a minute I still think I would stay with my color scheme regardless of age. hehe It looks real nice Olivia including the cupboard you hauled in.... a very nice piece!

    Have a Wonderful Day*

  7. Love your fall decor, I can't wait to start putting all my stuff out, but these 95 degree days are making me want to just sit in the air conditioning! :) I'll be SO glad when it starts to cool down a little.
Thanks so much for linking up to to my Treasures and Trinkets're a blessing!

  8. I adore your Hoosier!! It looks awesome with all the fall decor. Guess I should put some fall on my Hoosier!

  13. Hello, Olivia!!
I can't wait to decorate for Fall too but I will have to wait until after Labor Day. I love the Hoosier in your Dining Room and yes, I have been noticing that you have been adding natural wood pieces and creating a more Victorian decor!!
Let me tell you girl, that I LOVE it!! You know that I am a Victorian Soul and I love the way certain wood pieces show off doilies and knick knacks, etc.
I don't know why you are being blocked from following more blogs. I follow an awful lot too but so far I haven't been blocked so i am not sure.
Victorian Decorating and Lifestyle was published for quite some time and it was my favorite magazine. I have almost all of the back issues. I know you would like it and sometimes you can find back issues on Ebay. I bought the ones that i didn't have on Ebay. I also have tons of back issues of Country Victorian, Romantic Homes, Victorian Sampler, Victorian Homes and I can go on and on!
Dollar Tree had gold roses awhile ago and Michael's usually carries rust colored ones for the Fall. I probably should have just emailed you....LOL!!

  14. Your dining room is beautiful dressed for fall Olivia. I like what you did with your chandy.
