Altered Couture Victorian Cone

I just stumbled upon the most fabulous name for craftin....
Altered Couture!
Sooooo, break out your hot glue gun and all your bits and bobbles and lets create some Altered Couture!
Below is a darling Victorian Cone I created to fluff up my kitchen!
I used a coffee stained folder to create this little beauty and
I topped her with a vintage corsage...
My sweet Victorian girl is set on a background of vintage hymnal pages and topped with lace and a vintage jewelry bobble!
Just Darling!
She found the perfect home in my kitchen up against a Shabby Rose iron piece I hung on my kitchen wall!

Make it Fabulous for Less Tip~ Add a touch of Romance and Whimsy to your home with a pretty vintage image. You can print them off your computer on regular paper and decoupage them on almost anything. I use a spray adhesive to add Victorian girls to my booth tags, suitcases and decorative cones!
I hope you enjoyed my bit of Altered Couture!

  2. Dear Olivia - the Victorian images are soooo beautiful! They really do dress up anything they are applied to. I think I'd like to make some of these cones for Christmas and tuck in some sweet wee gifts. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Olivia,
This is so pretty. I'm a little obsessed with making those cones....I went on a binge a year or so ago and bought all kinds of beautiful papers, etc.! I just think they are so pretty. I ended up filling them with treats and handed them to family at Christmas.

  10. Your cone is very pretty. Much nicer than the ones my aunt and grandmother used to make. Theirs were pretty though. They made them out of toilet paper rolls turned into cones and covered with paper, gift wrap, and trim. Then they'd hang them on the Christmas tree as ornaments.
