Last season I showed you pictures at the start of
my Shabby Chic English Garden (click to see) project.
I have a small newer ranch style home.
I would love to have the money to build big beautiful porches,
but with my tiny budget, paints and plants are a more
affordable solution!
I used an inexpensive Wal-Mart paint and a porch sealer to brighten up the basic wood.
Here is a shot of Mr. Romantic adding some collected flea market accents!
The paint has flecked off some...but ohhhh that just makes it more Shabby to me!
Last year I splurged and spent $30 on this
pretty climbing rose, I also bought some magic rose plant food that
was a bit pricey but has really helped this rose thrive!
By the grace of God my pretty rose survived my umh umh "green thumb"
~giggles~
I used some mulch and cheap garden stones to create a path
so I could walk out and water my garden in bare feet.
I found this cute little decorative flower gate at the dollar tree!
Really, I just used alot of imagination, paint, mulch, and flowers
to make this drab spot fab!
Thank you for stopping by!
Please know that I take time to read and treasure each comment.
I will be sharing this with
My Romantic Home
and
Pink Saturday
Hugs, love and blessings go out to all of you!

How beautiful this looks! You are very creative to have come up with something so pretty. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina! Thank you for stopping by! I'm a bit crazy and creative! ~giggles~
DeleteGood Morning Olivia Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share this morning. I love your garden area, and that climbing rose is spectacular. What secret food are you using dear one? I need some for my roses and not sure what to use.
I love the little arch area that Mr. Romantic made for you. Isn't it wonderful when we have a vision, and they always bring it to life for us? (I love that most about my DH.) I can hardly wait to see your roses start to climb right on up and over that porch. It is absolutely beautiful Olivia.
Thank you for sharing this fine Saturday morning. Have a glorious weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Hello sweet Sherry! Your comments warm my heart! I will look around for my rose fertilizer and let you know! Big squishy hugs!

Oh Olivia, I just saved your photo and I so want this on my back door! Or something like it. We need a little roof of some kind over the door so you don't get your head wet letting in the fur babies! This would be perfect and I really think on my budget, we could do this!
ReplyDeleteI just need to find a carpenter that can see the vision as well! My DH is good at so many things, but this isn't one of them.
Have a great weekend and spend some time sitting on those steps drinking ice tea while you smell those roses!
Hello my darling friend! Uummm sitting around does sound delightful! Be blessed! xo Olivia
DeleteOh I love it! So adorable, what a great job you and Mr. did!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ann! ~xo~
DeleteOlivia you always do the most wonderful things on a budget! It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI think if my budget was bigger, I might not be as creative?!
DeleteLove it - drab to fab is right! Great job on the rose bush, just gorgeous. The little details you added just look perfect, they bring so much visual interest to what could be a very boring area! Hugs ~ Mary

DeleteYour climbing rose is doing great.....love the white door with pink trim.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I call it my willie wonka door! ~giggle~
DeleteOh, Olivia!!
ReplyDeleteExactly my taste (and a GREAT covet right now). I KNEW we shoulda picked those WHITE security doors---ours are beautiful, but would never yield anything this charming.
Just lovely.

Oh my Rachel...I was really nervous about adding the pink, my cute hubby is a great sport!

Seriously Olivia, you are extremely talented at making beautiful things on a budget. And also, splurging where appropriate, because I love your climbing rose. The whole vignette is so cute and makes me want to see the rest of your back yard! Happy Pink Saturday. ~Marti
