Sometimes we all just need to light a candle and pray for hope.
Hope for the future and for God to help us all love each other.
Stop for a moment and think about your heart.
Has someone hurt your heart and you need to truly forgive them.
I found myself this week crying out to God to empty my heart of unforgiveness.
I believe that peace was there all along, I just did not want to let it in until now.
Guess what?
The next day, after praying, I let all that yucky junk in my heart go.
Wow! I can't tell you how much better I feel!

Sooooo, if you get the chance,
ask God to....
help you pull up your big girl britches!
Please continue to pray for the families in Joplin, MO.
My stepson and his family live in Joplin. They all are physically ok, but their home is damaged.
They are currently staying with my mother in law, local churches and friends are helping us reach out to them to fill their needs. God is good, just continue to pray!
Happy Birthday for all you Pink Saturday lovers, one of my faves!!

Olivia, what a beautiful post, and yes, forgiveness is divine. It is something we all can do, IF WE WANT TO. It liberates us and others and I truly believe is one of God's gifts and His will for us. I thank God for your experience and your openness about it, may your words and testimony bless others as it bless me, Marta.

Sometimes that forgiveness is such a process for us isn't it! I have been working through something for the past week-it hurts so when people are so cruel but I know turning the other cheek is the only way- hard as it is. So grateful for the forgiveness of the Father on my behalf!
ReplyDeleteJoplin...it's all so heartbreaking. They are in my prayers. xo Nancy

Prayer is the best to confort us and see things with a different light...also sleeping on it helps too in the following day! May God help the people that are suffering from the turnado's devastation! Happy Pink Sat.

ReplyDeleteHello, my dear! So glad to hear that your family is safe and I hope that their home is not beyond repair. What a lovely and wise post. I agree...forgiveness is such a blessing. And sometimes we can't do it alone. God loves for us to come to Him for help and he is the only one who can truly mend a hurting heart! I am so happy for your joyful heart! Praying for everyone in MO...the footage we saw on the news was hard to watch...so scary...and so tragic.

Olivia:
ReplyDeleteI am behind on catching up. Sorry your step son and his family were part of the Joplin victims. I will add them to my growing prayer list.
I'm glad you posted about forgiveness. Sometimes the person holding out on the forgiving is being the most damaged. Great reminder.
Have a great week ahead!
