Shabby Chic Pink Pumpkins

Hello my sweet and beautiful friends!
I hope you all have had a lovely week!
I have been very busy the last couple of months!
My father in law passed, my husband started a new job and the kids are back to school, so this has been a very busy month for me as a wife and mother.
I have been making time to do work on my little pink projects
I really love fall and could not resist Shabbydazzling up some pink pumpkins to go with my frou frou cottage decor!
I painted these little darlings the perfect cottage pink added loads of glitter, pearls, roses, bows and bling!
I am calling them my "glam" pumpkins.
Giggles.
I made up a little sign to match them....
To be honest with you, I do not like spooky things.
The older I get the less I want to see or hear about anything spooky.
So, my pumpkins are always happy and sparkling!
I just love creating pink and sparking treasures!
In all my "busyness" I have been taking time to start my day with a verse and a devotional from Proverbs 31 Ministries,
I cannot tell you the security it gives me to know that I can trust God to help me be a better wife, mother and friend! Plus,it helps me to start my day off with a thankful praising attitude! The devotionals are written by women and address many of the worries and things I am feeling.
Mark 12:30, “And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.” (NLT)

Thank you for stopping by!
I pray you have a beautiful and blessed week!

Shabby Chic Living Room

 Hello lovelies!
I wanted to share with you some pictures of my Shabby Chic Living Room!
This is my "faux" mantel that Mr. Romantic built for me!
Right now I have an old widow below the mantel part.
I used one of my favorite pieces of fabric back behind it to give it a bit of soft flair.
Below is the entryway to my living room.
This is a darling buffet my hubby and I brought home, shabbied and added some detail on the front with pretty pink knobs I found at Target.
I am so blessed to have this gorgeous big front window that lets in tons of beautiful natural light.
I found this iron bed and decided to plop it right in front of the window, I am looking for a nice chaise lounge or bench to put in front of this window. At Christmas time, this is where my tree goes.

For our wedding present my husband and I received a beautiful leather sofa set from his mother.
I love it and it is so very comfy.
With three kids this is the best option for me for keeping things clean!
My corner cabinet I brought home from a garage sale for ten dollars!
I painted it white and still need to find some pretty details to add to the front!
I find the majority of my home decor, curtains, and furniture at tag sales, resale shoppes, and flea markets.
I love it because it makes my home very unique and interesting!
Thank you for stopping by!

My Pink Laundry Room

 Hello lovelies!!
My car has been in the shop all week, so I have been at home cleaning, organizing and crafting!
I have been working in my pink laundry room.
I went through all of my linens and had a wash day!
Don't you just love the smell of fresh laundry!
My hubby is allergic to fragrance so I am not using a smelly good laundry sheet, but it is still so nice to have everything all fresh and clean!
A couple of years ago I painted my laundry room pink....I figured why not, I am the only person who really is in there, might as well make it cute!
~~Giggles~~
I found this little laundry sign at a resale shoppe, painted it pink and added glitter!
This is my darling basket I painted pink this week!
I peeled off the labels to my detergent bottles for this picture...
Laundry is actually one of my favorite chores, which is a good thing because I am always busy with keeping up with my hubby and kids clothes!!
Thank you my sweet and darling friends!!
Every comment and visit is a treasure to me!

Home made sugar cookies

Hello lovelies!!!
This week I was in the mood to do some baking!!
I made home made sugar cookies!!
Lots of real butter and sugar!!!
Yummy!!!!
Here is the recipe I used...

INGREDIENTS:

*2 3/4 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
*1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
*1/2 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
*1 CUP OF BUTTER SOFTENED
*1 1/2 CUPS WHITE SUGAR
*1 EGG
*1 TEASPOON OF VANILLA EXTRACT

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks

These were really easy to make and oh so yummy!!!
Next time I think I will make some buttercream icing to go on top.
Giggles.
I also worked on some more pretty in pink embellished candlesticks and candles this week!!
and a new wreath
What a week I have had crafting and cooking!!!
Have a beautiful and blessed weekend!!!
