Pink Cleaning & Organizing

Hello my lovely friends!
I think this Shabby Chic pantry from Cynthia's
Cottage Shop (Minis) on Etsy is a cute inspiration!
I am on a spring cleaning and organizing kick!
I found these two pink totes at the Dollar Tree and
they work perfectly to organize my busy little families socks.
I don't mind laundry but the sock situation was driving me nuts!!!!!
Now, I have one side for singles and one for couples.
~giggles~
I also have a pink swiffer.
Love it!

Next, I am going to work on getting my pantry and kitchen cabinets clean and under control.
I went back to the dollar tree for more pink totes and
they were out of the pink color I liked....hmmmm.....

I have firmly decided that finding cute and colorful ways
to clean and organize can make life function easier
and lift our spirits for boring household chores!
The dollar store is a great place to find
inexpensive household must haves.
Do you have any favorite organizing tips?
Please let me know how you "whistle while you work"
Happy Pink Saturday my darling friends!

Shabby Spring Dreaming

Hello lovelies!
OH my, we got snow!
What fun with the family!
Now, I am ready for spring...ready for nice weather and
a chance to paint something white! This is a picture from my flea market booth!
I can't wait to go to a garage sale with lots of shabby cheap tea cups!
Mr. Romantic brought me the yummiest of chocolates and the most beautiful card a girl could ask for! He also surprised the kids with their own boxes of chocolates!
We are so blessed!
Thank you to my beautiful blogging friends for your words of encouragement!
It means more than you will ever know!
I am off to do some spring fluffing and dreaming!
Hugs,
xoxo

A Personal journey begins

Hello lovelies!
What a beautiful day it is going to be!
I believe in my heart we all have so many things to be thankful for.
A couple of months ago my health unexpectedly ushered me into
a "new normal".
Many of you have expressed the sweetest support and prayers sent my way!
Thank you!
In order to save the sanity of Mr. Romantic, my healthy readers and
my doctors I have decided to ramble about it here.
If you can relate to Chronic pain click here

Don't worry my sweet healthy readers, of course
I will continue on with my Shabfabulous decorating projects!

I have been redecorating some areas of my home and
I cannot wait to share pictures with you!

Vintage Dress Form Party

Hello lovelies!
It's time to party with some vintage dress forms!
I love decorating my flea market booths with vintage dress forms.
In my large flea market booth I have a vintage lady and a vintage military man...
~Giggles~I sell the clothes and hats off the dress forms.
Sometimes after a busy weekend of shoppers
I find my lady stripped down to her skivvies...
my man always wears a hat so as not to see anything indecent.
~giggles~

Recently, I made over a couple of hanging dress forms
to display delicate linens on...
Click the link below to see a tutorial on how to fluff up a hanging dress form!

Below I used vintage music paper to make this form look more vintagey.
(Decorated hanging forms available $65 plus shipping each)

Of course I could not resist fluffing up a pretty in pink number.
So fun and fabulous to play around with pretty linens and dress forms!
Today I am partying with

Pink Saturday

Hello my lovelies!
My friend Sue built this darling garden table using an old
window at the back. I love the Shabby green color she used.January and February are slower times in our
Flea Market so I am doing some fluffing and spring cleaning!
Of course I had to add some pretty pink accents for Valentine's!
On a personal note:
I have been wading through alot of Doctors tests and medications...
I am realizing that some things in life aren't fixed quick.
OH my what a test of patience!!!!
I am more frustrated with myself, because I cannot paint and craft as much as I want.
MAYBE IT IS ABOUT THE JOURNEY AND NOT THE DESTINATION!?
Love and hugs to all!
Partying this week with

Vintage Lace Rosette Hanger Tutorial

Hello my darling friends!
I love displaying delicate feminine linens in my flea market booths!
However, when an item sold I was left with an unattractive dress form hanger.

So, I decided to transform my dress form hangers into fabulous vintage style lacy linen displays.

Supplies:

dress form or hanger
adhesive spray
vintage hymnal paper
Elmer's glue
glitter
old paintbrush
hot glue gun and glue sticks
lots of different lace scraps
2 long strips of lace
faux pearls
satin roses

Step 1~ Spray sections of plastic form with adhesive spray and apply vintage music paper. The paper is going to crack in spots it's ok to keep layering and smoothing paper until all the plastic is covered.
Step 2~ Next, pour some Elmer's glue in a bowl and dip your paintbrush into the glue and cover the music paper in a light layer of glue. Sprinkle a white pearl fine glitter over the whole form before the Elmer's glue dries.
Step 3~ Glue a scrap of lace at the base of the hanger hook and wrap it around the hanger until it is covered, use touches of hot glue to secure the lace.Step 4~ After the glitter and glue dry you can begin embellishing the dress form. This is where you can get really creative! I used lace scraps and made them into a rosette adding a satin rose to the center and then surrounding it with faux pearls. Layer your rosettes starting at the base of the hanger hook and work your way out. I go over the top with lots of fluffy lace rosettes and pearls. I also used two long pieces of vintage lace to trim the edge of the hanger.
Now you have a fabulous Vintage style dress form display that will pretty up any romantic linen!

Variation~For this pink form I used the same steps in the tutorial except instead of music note paper I used fabric as a base and then covered it in several layers of lace.
I also do smaller versions with cloth hangers...
I just love creating vintage styles with lace and roses!
Oooohhhh la la romantic and pretty!

Thank you for stopping by!
Squishy hugs,
Olivia
