Tiny Romantic Porch

I have a tiny back porch out my bedroom door.
Even though it is small (as is most of my house) does not mean it can't be fabulous.
Last year I painted this tiny porch white.
Painting this tiny porch white gave it a fresh springy romantic feel, which I love!
I buy my outdoor Shabby pillows at thrift stores and
garage sales so if I forget to bring them in and they get wet I am only out $1 or so.
This weekend I got lucky and found these darling Shabby pink pillows at my favorite flea market half off which made them $3! (Happy Dance)
I used a bed skirt draped over a pole to add a bit of fluff and mystery behind the bench.
An easy faux garden chandelier is put together using an upside down planter.
I painted it a soft shabby green and used some Christmas beaded garland to give it a bit of sparkle.
A tray of chocolate cupcakes and rose china adds a cozy romantic touch.
The kids enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes and I had a blast setting it all up.

Vintage Glove Repurposed

I love, love, love vintage gloves, hats and baubles!
Finding new ways to display them is even more fun.
This sweet vintage glove was missing its mate
sooooo, I decided to add her to a pillow...
I don't sew (yet) so I hot glued the glove to the pillow and
added some pretty lace trim, pearls and faux roses!
I think I might do some more for my booths, I find lonely pillows and gloves alot!
I have so many projects I want to work on, but last nights combo of Grey's Anatomy
and chocolate ice cream has left me sleepy today.
I did manage to go thrifting this morning and scored a giant armoire for
$10 that is taking up my whole mini van.
My glove pillow landed in this pretty aqua chair next to my shabby entry way buffet.

Shabby Chic Shutter Shelf

When I look at an item I see it white and fluffy!
Therefore, I have many  "Shabby Projects" hanging around in my messy garage...
This shutter was no exception, it was lonely, without slats, broken and cast off.
(Sounds like the way I feel sometimes when I am blue
that's when I need Jesus and a makeover project)
Here is the before and after...
I used an old lace tablecloth and stapled that to the back of the shutter.
Then I added a white shelf to the bottom and a clear shabby knob to the top!
Some dainty Shabby treasures...
 My favorite limoges teacups
Pretty in pink gifts from my bloggey friends
Ohhhh I could not resist fluffing up this canning jar!
I get carried away with the trims and fluffs! LOL!
Well my sugar sweet friends...have a lovely day!
May God bless your path in every way!
I will be sharing my fabulous pinkness with

Off to Paris

I dream of going to Paris...
I would pack my prettiest dresses in a dreamy suitcase...
I see myself scouring Paris flea markets for the prettiest vintage goodies and stopping to smell the roses...
Maybe I would sip coffee and wear red lipstick...
A mom can dream can't she?

One day I will go, I just know it...for now I am content with painting old suitcases and dreaming of fabulous trips!

This week I will be sharing with

Shabby Comfort

Here is a cup of Shabby Comfort to start your week...
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3, 5-6

I found this little Shabby lamp and picture...they landed in my bedroom.
 Heavenly crown...

Have a fabulous day!

Shabby Chic Bedroom Boudoir Update!

I worked on my bedroom over the weekend.
I have always imagined a dreamy little spot in my bedroom where I could be girly!
Here is my bedroom set to music!
I am so honored this video is to be featured by Sandy and Shabby Streamside Studio!
http://myshabbystreamsidestudio.blogspot.com/
Please check out her blog it is beyond gorgeous!
I had added this pretty little dressing table to "my corner" of the bedroom and used a vintage veil above to give it that little touch of fantasy. I also painted my mirror frame a soft pinkish white...
This is the pretty in pink shoe that I won from Mari...
Above my bed is the sweetest framed cottage rose picture...
At the foot of the bed I used a pretty antique lace dust ruffle to add "vintage" to the bed dressing...
The lamp pictured on my side of the bed is one I found at a resale shop this week for $3, I painted it added drippy crystals and my own creative version of a lampshade and waa laa!
Thank you for taking a tour with me of my Shabby Bedroom...
hope you enjoyed fluffing around with me!
Have a fabulous and blessed day!
