It made me think about the hole in my soul that I asked God to fill...

 

God filled the hole in my soul with his peace and love...

and then he brought me all of you wonderful new friends on my blog!

Saturday to my delight I recieved this beautiful package in the mail from Susan over at http://susansheartsandflowers.blogspot.com/ I won her darling giveaway!

It came wrapped in the most beautiful rose paper with all of these shabby rose treasures!

Ohhh La La...I instantly started fluffing and finding a home for all of these goodies...

I was so touched at her thoughtfullness...I was also inspired and made these cutie signs with some of the rose paper that sweet Susan packed my treasures in...

I never dreamed that I would find such sweet, lovely and inspiring people

through my little blog... but what a blessing it has been!

Shabby Chic Curtain and Chandelier!

Happy Pink Saturday! Today, I want to share you some of the pinks in my kitchen! Above the sink I added 2 poufy Shabby Chic Curtains. I replaced our boring standard light with a Shabfabulous Chandelier! I also painted and distressed two old shutters to give a little more privacy in my backyard but still allow the pretty view!

Shabby Chic Rose Print...ohhhhhhh la la, love the pouf and fluff!

 A close up of the chandelier, I mixed the original crystals with some I had to make it look fuller, eventually I will use all drop crystals...

To the left of the sink I hung some pretty plates I got at a church sale for next to nothing!

 

I have been dying for a faux cake or cupcake but they are too pricey for my tiny budget...although I did find this darling rasberry tart for $1!!!!

 

I also would like to use these pretty rose knobs on my kitchen cabinets...but when my husband hung the pinky chandelier he said ,"his buddies will probably beat him for this one" , giggle he was totally kidding, he always makes me laugh and so sweetly lets me decorate however I like! Swoon!

~My Vintage Kitchen~

I have been soooo excited to show you pictures of my kitchen! I have been waiting until Friday to show and tell you about it! 

A couple of months ago I painted the cabinets white, this week I finally got up the energy to repaint the walls!

The kitchen was formerly red...but it is now a very soft antique white!

( I thought a red kitchen would inspire me to cook, not liking to cook, to me is a terrible flaw as a housewife...sigh.)

 I just adore the color of this oh so Shabby Hoosier Cabinet!

Another shot...I am not finished, but it is at least presentable now...unlike many of my creations on this poor litle stove! Giggle, at least I can laugh about this and really I am not terrible, I would just rather be painting...

I have not figured out what type of wall decor I want for each side of the cabinet, so for now I framed a vintage piece of ceiling tin...

Some darling vintage items...I am thinking about painting the mixer pink...and isn't this vintage toaster cover the cutest?!

~A Romantic Tea Party~

 I am joining Cielo at http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/  for a Victorian Tea Party and Martha at http://www.marthasfavorites.com/ ! The sweet memory of my wedding is lingering with me today.

I have chosen to invite you for tea and share with you some sweet memories of my wedding day.

My husband and I were blessed to find each other a bit later in life...3 children and some life lessons under our belts.

We had a gorgeous wedding in early October set in the prettiest country woods with flowers blooming and love bursting forth...

We were married at my childhood home in the dreamiest setting alongside a babbling brook!

I chose a beautiful formal gown with a long flowing veil. I felt like a sweet fairy princess on this day lucky enough to have met my prince charming!

Please have a sip of tea and relax...aren't these pretty German teacups just delightful and dainty...

I also love these pretty iron chairs they remind me of the vibrant reds I used in my sweet October wedding...

This is a pretty bridal purse my neighbor made...

I wish I would have it for my day but never the less it is pretty for decoration.

My pretty favorite romantic teapot...it is rather shabby because I had to rescue it and put it back together...

That is us in a silver frame that I recieved as a gift from my Aunt Carol for our wedding.

My favorite vintage gloves... they are the softest leather with the prettiest of details...

I can imagine the pretty romantic dress that might have been worn with this sweet vintage hat...

Oh my, it looks as if I need a refill on my tea...

Ooohhhh La La Pretty in Pink!
Happy Mother's Day and Happy Pink Saturday! 
My Dining Room is feeling so springy and pink,
makes me want to do a little twirl! Giggle!
I was out junk haulin treasure hunting today and I came accross these darling pretty in pink French bowls!
(Shhhh they were .15 cents each, HAPPY DANCE!!!)

I have a lovely pink lacy table runner that I have been dying to use and I thought these would go together perfect!

Oh so pretty in pink vintage table runner, don't the crystal candlesticks offset it nicely!

Last year during Christmas I got really creative and made these darling cupcake ornaments using vintage styrofoam Christmas ornaments plopped in a cupcake wrapper, glittered up and topped off with tulle and pretty flowers! Yummy!

Oh Pink Saturday just excites and delights me!

My mom moved to Colorado a couple of years ago and left me this beautiful Country French Table and chairs! So Sweet! She also gave me the two stand up lamps on either side of the door, which I promptly painted pink (of course)!

We will have some delightful treats in these bowls today, probably cereal first, then ice cream!

Shabby Rose Cottage

I am joining Cindy at Romantic Homes Show and Tell Friday http://romantichome.blogspot.com/.  I love old suitcases. I picked up this vintage samsonite suitcase and painted it white, decopauged roses on the outside and then rubbed it over with stain to soften the white paint.
This one turned out rather sweet. In fact the more I look at it the more I think a little romantic vacation might be nice...

What would one pack in such a pretty suitcase? For me...something pretty and comfortable....

I think I need to sit down put my feet up and have a nice cup of french vanilla coffee in my favorite rose coffee cup and dream about where I might go...

If I am dreaming, I might as well dream big right.... beautiful Paris, France!

Wow! I feel more relaxed already and all I had to do was take a moment to dream...
Sometimes when the house is quiet I look around and think this is beautiful, right where I am at!

I hope this pretty little suitcase inspires you to do a little dreaming or at least relax and take a quiet moment for yourself!

Dreamy White Window!

Hello! Thank you for stopping by!

I am joining http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/ for White Wednesday!

I have a sweet little spot at the end of my hallway ( with gappy door at the end) that I have needed to fill.

There is quite a little stockpile in my garage of shabby windows. I decided to use a nice paneless window at the end of my hallway atop a very chippy handmade bench...
BEFORE~Lonely Hallway~

AFTER~A dreamy white sheer curtain added with an old white window underneath.

I thought the black chippy bench would accent the white well. I added the bunny weather vane

to tie in the black and white.

The sweet white bunny weather vane I found with BADLY broken ears for $1with its ears tied to its tail and a note attached saying...Needs TLC.

I used ALOT of the E 6000 glue and wrapped a tiara of flowers around her poor ears. After the repair there was still a nasty crack that could not be painted....hence the flowers~

I would love to add something underneath the bench like a shabby painted suitcase or something of that nature!

I added these sweet white shabby pillows to comfy up the bench. Notice the pretty shabby knob I used on the closet door at the end of the hallway. So pretty. 

I found these pretty lace panels at a garage sale for $1, funny thing my friend and I both went to the same sale at different times and each picked up one piece of this panel. Tee Hee. I was so excited to find out she had the other side and she offered to let me keep it! SWEET FRIEND!

I love the dreamy romantic feel of the sheer and lace over the shabby vintage window!
