Romantic Shabby Bedroom

I want to share with you my pretty Romantic bedroom!
I have a four poster bed and I found this sweet drapey dust ruffle and I decided to use it over the top of my bed like a canopy, I always wanted a canopy bed when I was a little girl!
(Shhhh, I got the dust ruffle for one dollar at a garage sale)
I am dying to paint those lamps white and change the shades...
I adore pretty fluffy lacey pillows...

I will be working on my bedroom this month...check back for more pretty pictures!
Have a beautiful blessed day!
I will be sharing this with

  3. Dearest Olivia,

That is a fluffy and romantic bedroom. All of a sudden I was laughing in myself because usually there are two in a bedroom but only one is blogging and showing off their 'nest'. How would it read if the male were putting this on blog?! It would certainly be hilarious.
So funny, our man stand back and accept what we create, than they join us but does it reflect them a lot?

    Have a great week!

  18. Such a pretty bedroom!! And what a clever idea to use a dust ruffle for a canopy! I had a canopy bed as a young girl and always felt like a princess sleeping in it!

Love the vignette at the foot of your bed ~ the cherub, glittered church, and cross are soooo me, too! And if I ever come to visit you, you had better hide that sweet ruffled heart pillow!! LOL

  34. Olivia you live in a romantic boudoir! Ingenious to use a dust ruffle. I, like you always wanted a canopy bed; When I moved away from home my parents converted my bedroom into a guest room and got a white canopy bed.....Why I think that qualifies as Child abuse...LOL!!

  36. Your bedroom is so pretty. What a great idea with the dust ruffle for a canopy. It looks beautiful. I'm going now to look at back posts on your blog because this is the first time in months that I've been able to even go to it. Most of the time it says that Windows won't open it for me. I don't know why. A few other blogs are like that too. I'm so glad that I am able to visit today. I love your blog.

  39. Hi Olivia,
I found your blog through a friends post. First of all, I have to say that I love your style. It is so funny that I found your blog today, the very day that I bought pink paint and decided to Shabby Chic our country cottage here in the Deep South.

Second, I love the name Olivia. Our 7 year old daughter's name is Olivia, after her Great Grand. I will follow your blog and enjoy all that creative thinking that you share with so many of us! Blessings-Joy
