Create Romantic Charm with your Shabby Vintage Linens!

Vintage linens are one of my favorite things to collect!
I especially adore ladies handkerchiefs that whisper the sweetness of days gone by. Linens are a wonderful way to add vintage romantic charm to your cottage decor!
Feeling inspired I decided to get creative with one of my pretty handkerchiefs and create a pretty spring wreath.
So, if you would like to give this a whirl, here is how I created my vintage linen wreath!
I used a straw wreath that I picked up at a thrift store for .50 cents.
I wrapped it in strips of old curtain lace and then added a satin bow at the top to layer lace and vintage flowers on...
Next I stretched the vintage handkerchief across the front of the wreath and hot glued the edges to the back
Once this is done you can add as much lace and fluff to the top as you want!
I love lots of flluff in my wreaths...even the simpler ones!
A perfect way to use your vintage linens and create vintage romantic charm in your cottage!
I will be sharing this with
Have fun creating!
Hugs,

  1. Gorgeous!I have a bag of my Grandmas old hankies about 15 of them from the 50s.I would have to pin them to the back because their my Granny's.I think that would work.I love projects with hankies,if you have any more please show them to us:)

  14. Your wreath is gorgeous. I am like you more is better. I love layering my linens. It gives such a romantic feel to a room. I will have to give one of these a try. I have a lot of vintage wedding lace that I got at auction from an elderly ladies estate that had been a seamstress in the 30's tru the 50's. I can see that on a wreath. Thanks for sharing. ~~Sherry~~

  21. Hello My Precious Olivia,
Sending you love and hugs and collecting your tears. I couldn't find the scripture but in Heaven they collect in a bottle every tear we shed. That is a lot of bottles.
I am always here for you and have a listening ear. You know you are just like a precious daughter to me.
You need someone to watch those little ones and you go for a Day Spa....be pampered...I never did those things when my children were growing up but you need time to your self in order to keep giving back.
    love and hugs
    have a sugar sweet day
