My Pink Hunk of Junk

We were driving by my favorite resale shop when I braked for a piece of rusty crusty metal. My son said..." Mom what are you going to do with that old hunk of junk" ?
Paint it pink of course!

Add some roses and a little Parsian flair!
Wal-Mart has spray paint on sale for $2.67!
I love sales!
Have a lovely and blessed day!

Fabulous Free Shabby Pine cone Ornaments!

My little Fairy Princess and I decided to
pick up pine cones outside of her preschool.
I just knew I wanted to paint and pretty
them up and who can resist FREE!
I made these last year but I hand painted each one!
This year I got a little smarter and decided to dip them using a large plastic storage container.
How to make painted pine cone Ornaments!

Put about 2 cups of paint in a large container.
Add 6 pine cones. Slowly move your container upside down a couple of times. Pine cones should be mostly covered. Remove with tongs and gently shake pine cones to get out excess paint. Turn pine cones as you let them dry, move to a new sheet of wax paper if there is alot of extra paint. Once dry add fabulous glitter, lace, vintage baubles and ribbon to the top to make a gorgeous ornament!

These are a little messy but the end result is well worth it, they look so cute in a pretty tea cup!
Have fun and please send me pictures if you try this and I will feature you on my blog!

Pretty Rose Tea Cup Candle Light!

Hello! I have been creating up a storm...
I am so delighted with how gorgeous this little tea cup light turned out!
It was a tad cool today, so my little princess and I stayed indoors.
She painted little wood cut outs that you get for peanuts at Michael's and I created Shabby Rose Treasures!
The teacup I used is one of my favorites!
Such gorgeous roses!
The perfect addition to my living room!
I cannot wait to show you the rest of my gorgeous fluffy creations!

Fabulous Shabby Bench Makeover!

Who can resist a Shabby Makeover story?
Especially when it turns out this stinkin cute...
The kids have been using this little bench in the middle of the living room to sit on,
the color of the original fabric has been driving me crazy
the original fabric was all spotted up and not fabulous....
Sooooo, I just had to fluff it up with this sweet shabby fabric
and some added vintage trim...
The stool came out a little artsy looking but it floats my boat and that's all that matters!
I found the pretty fabric flopped in a throw away thrift store box
it was originally a dust ruffle but was torn in several places
I just knew it would be fabulous for something!
Now when the kids drag this bench around the living room if it gets left out,
at least it is interesting to look at...

Peek In my Shabby Cabinet

A while back I had somebody ask me for a peek inside my Shabby Hoosier Cabinet...
It holds my Family Christmas Dinner Dishes...
During Christmas, I host the family dinner, so, I found a simple set of white dishes with gold trim at The Pink Door for $8 (Whole Set)!
I have never found them too exciting to show until I played around with the arrangement and added some shabby white goodies...
This dinner is large 25-30 people in my tiny home so, I try to keep the table simple...
here is a peek of what I put together last year...
This cabinet is just so much fun to fluff around with!

Darling Shabby Mini Cake Stand! (Cheap!)

Happy Pink Saturday my Fluffy Friends!
It is my Birthday weekend and let me tell you that my friends and Mr. Romantic have went over the top to make it fabulous for me!
(Well, I got a slice of Italian wedding cake, but it tasted as good as this pink beauty looks!)
http://www.thecakebox-online.co.uk
Oh, I have misplaced my camera but I will show you some of the sweet fluffy goodies I got soon!
Isn't this darling cake mini cake stand below a sweet little thing!
These are so easy to make! I love using them in my booth they are a cheap way to create height in my displays!

Make it Fabulous for less tip~
Look for inexpensive crystal candlesticks and pretty rose plates ( I find mine for about $1-$3 at tag sales and thrift stores.) Use the glass glue E-6000, found at your Michael's or Hobby Lobby.  Glue the bottom of your candlestick to the plate add another layer, you can go up to three tiers if you like!

These would also be cute with mini cakes on top!
I also have to tell you to stop by and check out the most adorable Shabby Christmas Stockings over at
Dear Santa, I have been good!
Please deliver a Shabby Stocking to me, so I can decorate for Christmas properly!
Giggle!

Shabby Chic Dresser Transformation!

This summer I picked up this old dresser (FREE).
It was missing two drawers but I knew if I painted it white I could figure out something...
It really fit perfectly in my dining room!
If you look very closely the bottom two drawers are still missing.
I plan to use a cute curtain valance to fluff up the bottom.
What would you do?

Right now I am loving this arrangement for the dining room!
It is small so it can be tricky find the right pieces!

Pink Tooth Fairies!

Yes, Pink Tooth Fairies really do exsist...
The kids reminded me last year for Halloween I was the Pink Toothfairy! In my vintage gloved hand is a fuzzy purse we put play money in. Of course Mr. Romantic is buffed up in his military gear...

My sidekick kept losing her shoe...
I gathered almost all of our costumes from the resale shops...
What are you going to be for Halloween?
Hugs,
Olivia
